Céilí – Saturday Afternoon
“One two three, one two three, shhpin her ’round, back ye go.” etc.
There’ll be plenty more of that sort of thing this Saturday afternoon (22nd) on the green in front of the shops from 4pm to 6pm. Yes, we’re holding our inaugural Roebuck Céilí. Ceol, craic agus rince go lóir!
We have our lovely new marquee, so rain won’t stop the rince. (No, it’ll be NOTHING like Fr. Noel Furlong in the caravan in that episode of Father Ted.) But maybe bring your umbrellas if the forecast says rain.
There will also be a few BBQs, manned by the rugged pit-masters of Roebuck (some local Dads will be helping out), cooking tasty hot dogs and burgers supplied by Lynam’s.
There should also be a few games and other things for the kids.
Bring your own beverages, and feel free to wear your county colours.
