Community Games Update
Well done to all our competitors in the Dublin Community Games final, who togged out in our new kit. We had 20 participants in Santry and doubled our medal count from last year. Riona Ferriter claimed Silver in the Under 14’s Long Puck to do one better than her bronze medal last year. Trudy Mollins raced to gold in the Under 8’s 80m sprints, and will go on to represent Dublin in the All Ireland’s. Go Trudy!
We’ll look at expanding the boundary again next year and the possibility of participating in a broader range of events including art. Thanks to the parents for helping out on the day of our own event, and during the Dublin Games. Also a big thanks to Shane Cotter and coach John O’Carroll. Rumour has it that Lynam’s sponsored some ice creams for the Goatstown Gallopers! We hope to add some more events next year including Art. And of course we are always looking for more volunteers!
