Fernhill Park and Gardens – Have Your Say

As you are probably aware, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council recently bought the Fernhill estate in Stepaside. They intend to turn this beautiful 34 hectare site, consisting of gardens, parkland, woodland and agricultural land into a public park. It was a very far-sighted move on the behalf of the council and well done to all involved. It was a beautiful location when it was privately owned, and it will be a great public park.

Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council are in the process of completing a Feasibility Study for Fernhill and intend to commence the design process in early 2017. Prior to commencing this, DLR County Council would like to invite submissions from interested parties to have their say on the design and development of Fernhill. The submissions can also include ideas for the use of the house and the other buildings on the site.

The closing date for submissions is Tuesday 31st January.
