Mad Hatters Tea Party – The Aftermath
We had a great turn-out last Saturday for our Mad Hatters Tea Party. About 120 adults showed up, along with innumerable children.
The Committee would like to thank:
– The organising team of Anne Reid and Suzanne Cotter, admirably led by Helen Maher, a.k.a. Alice in Wonderland!
– The definitely daft Mad Hatter, Peter Harper!
– The children and adults who arrived sporting some extraordinary hats, which added enormously to the atmosphere on the day.
– The set-up was ably supported by the extended Maher family, Tom O’Connor, Seamus, and many other sandwich-makers and tea providers on the day.
Special thanks to Dave and Emma O’Loughlin of Prop-me-Up for supplying numerous games and impressive Mad Hatter accoutrements.
Thanks too to Lynam’s for some major logistical help on the day (before, during and after) and for sponsoring prizes for the children.
In addition, the prizes for adults were sponsored by The Colouring Den, The Farmhill Restaurant, Roebuck Pharmacy, ECI Natural Health Clinic, Body Harmony Beauty Salon and Select Boutique. A big thanks to them for the generous prizes.
Thanks too to Sergeant Ivan Howlin of Dundrum Garda Station for practical advice on safety.
