Stop Food Waste Challenge Workshops

Would you like to attend a Stop Food Waste Challenge Workshop? There are FREE places available for any resident who would like to go. The workshops are built around the Stop Food Waste Challenge  and cover the following themes:

  • Awareness – what are you wasting?
  • Planning – shopping lists etc.
  • Shopping – understanding supermarket marketing techniques etc.
  • Storage – what, where, how and why.
  • Cooking – portion control, leftover recipes etc.

Worth noting participant in the Stop Food Waste Challenge reduced their food waste by 50% (on average) realising an on average saving of €30 per month on food bills.

Courses are taking place in Shanganagh House and the new Samuel Beckett Centre, refreshments will be given to participants (dates/times below).

Survey
Prior to the commencement of the course , participants will be asked to undertake a short survey which will take a few minutes to complete. We’ll also encourage you to have your friends and neighbours do the same. A follow-up survey will also be completed in June to identify any lasting benefits as a result of the programme.
