Tidy Districts Competition – Winners!!

Huge congratulations to the Tidy Districts Team. The Roebuck Residents’ Association won first prize in the ‘Best Housing Estate, 201-500 Houses’ category! We beat 6 other entrants to get first place. Not bad at all for our first year entering the competition.

We were presented with a framed certificate, a beautiful framed print of a water colour painting, ‘Independence Memorial, Blackrock Park’, by Simon Hoe, and a cheque for €420. Not bad at all!

Well done to all concerned. A special thanks goes to Carol Behan, Kitty Gallagher, Rosemary Enright, Susan Kennedy, Paddy Joyce, Tom O’Connor, John Gallagher, Peter Squires and all the other volunteers who came out to help with cleaning up, painting, planting, verge tidying and grass cutting.

Well done to all the residents who made a huge effort to keep their verges, hedges and gardens looking so neat over the last few months. The place has been transformed.

Carol is in the middle row, second on the right from Cathaoirleach Cormac Devlin.
